TH37PX80B Customer Reviews

Customer 1: Glorious picture quality!
This television has an absolutely stunning picture! Although the screen isn't 1080p you'll think it is. Remember: if you're sitting more than 5 or 6 feet away it's not going to matter anyway. The colour is super and the sound although not Bose quality is perfectly acceptable. The quality of standard definition is much much better than a lot of TVs I've looked at over the last few weeks and bear in mind that it's going to be quite a while before 1080p is broadcast. Have no fear in purchasing this tv if you're like me and you change your tv every fews years or so anyway. This TV is an absolute steal!

Customer 2: Bargain Plasma
It has taken me ages to choose a tv I started out at 32" but was so struck by the value for money of the 37" Panasonic Plasma that I researched the tv a little more. When I first saw the 37" PX80B I thought it was a rather plain looking set when compared with some of the fancier LCD screens around but the picture was good and the price was at a bargain level(sub £600); so in the end Panasonic's reputation and a host of good reviews in the press finally persauded me to take the plunge and buy the TV. I am delighted I did, I am not a big TV buff but having got the TV home I can say that the apparent plain Jane appearance in the store has gone and the TV looks quietly understated and very smart.

The setting up was easy and the picture is good particularly on the freeview channels. Even the sound seems pretty good to me, at least compared to the old CRT TV it has replaced. All in all I am very happy with my purchase and the TV has more than lived up to my expectation.

Customer 3: Great Buy Plasma
Great plasma! sky images are pretty good and most of the time are strong, solid and detailed. Black levels and contrast are very good but I advise a darkened room as the picture seems weaker during strong daylight. HD picture are really good with an almost 3D effect, it sometimes looks as though you are looking out of a window. The sound is not great but ok most of the time. The only downside is the surround that's very shiny, it will scratch even with the provided cloth so I advise a gentle approach. Overall a great plasma at a really good price.

Customer 4: Great Plasma HDTV
Having looked at all varieties of HDTVs currently on the market, I finally decided on this Panasonic and, for the money, I don't think there's a better TV out there. Straight out of the box it looks stylish and is simplicity itself to set up, with a well laid out remote and easy to navigate menus.

Great connectivity options with the 3 HDMI ports, plus multiple SCART sockets, dedicated PC input and SD card reader, and the picture quality looks absolutely great from whatever source you throw at it. The hidden speakers mean that sound quality for watching films is a disaster, so invest in a decent home cinema system, but if you want an good all round movie experience then you were probably going to anyway.

How this is considered a budget TV in the Panasonic range and they market it at the price they do, I have no idea, but I can highly recommend it.
